Ornamental iron fences
Ornamental iron looks permanent because it is. It secures a front yard, garden, pool or commercial lot, and you can still see straight through it.
Modern ornamental fencing is welded steel or aluminum with a wrought-iron look, powder-coated so it stands up to road salt, snow and sun. Expect roughly $130 to $200 a foot installed, plus gates.
Slopes don’t scare us. The panels rack to follow the grade, or step for a formal look, so terraced and lakeside yards end up looking deliberate.

What’s the difference between wrought iron and ornamental steel or aluminum?
True wrought iron is forged by hand and very expensive. Modern ornamental fencing is welded steel or aluminum made to look like it. It handles rust better than the old material at a fraction of the price.
Can iron fencing go on a slope?
Yes. The panels can rack to follow the grade, or we step them for a formal look. Sloped lakefront and terraced properties are some of our favourite jobs.
